Greter Acosta Navarro, originally from Cuba, is a talented musician specializing in the oboe. She was born on November 5, 1997 and has trained at prestigious institutions such as the “Ñola Sahig Sáenz” Elementary School of Art, the National School of Music and the Higher Institute of Art.
Greter began her musical studies at the age of 9 and has had a distinguished career ever since. He participated in his school's Concert Band and won third prize in the Provincial Wind Competition in 2009. Throughout her training, she has participated in multiple festivals and concerts, both nationally and internationally, including the National Oboe Festival in Matanzas and the Workshops for Peace in Spain. During her middle level stage, she joined the Concert Band of the National School of Music, where she participated in significant events, such as concerts in honor of José Martí. Her dedication led her to join the José Martí orchestra, where she had the opportunity to play in numerous important events.
Since 2014, Greter has been linked to projects of the baroque orchestra of the National School of Music, under the direction of Professor Yulnara Vega. Her passion for early music led him to participate in baroque performance workshops in Havana, where he learned to play the shawm. She has also collaborated with the National School Symphony and has received master classes from renowned international teachers such as Alfredo Bernardini (France), Jorge Andres Pinzon (Chile), and John Snow (USA).
In 2016, she began her studies at the Instituto Superior de Arte, where she continued to stand out in different events and music festivals, such as the International Jazz Plaza Festival and the Mozart-Havana Festival. Her participation in the National Concert Band allowed her to work with conductors of various nationalities and to offer concerts in important theaters in Cuba. Greter graduated with a Bachelor of Music with a specialty in oboe in July 2020, being recognized as the best graduate with the highest academic index. In 2021, she founded the KOBOE ACADEMY Project in collaboration with Mexico City Philharmonic oboist Kevin Tiboche. Since then, she has participated in numerous concerts and recordings, standing out in contemporary and traditional works. Throughout his career, Greter has shared the stage with renowned soloists and has collaborated with various orchestras and groups, always demonstrating her versatility and commitment to music. Her career includes performances at important festivals and cultural events, consolidating herself as a relevant figure in the Cuban music scene.
